FAQs

How do I make a booking?

To make a booking, please go to “contact us” and submit a form. Please be as specific as possible so that we can best process your request. We’ll then make contact with you to discuss your needs, availability, and schedule your booking.

Alternatively, we invite you to call us anytime during our business hours, however we are primarily horse trainers, and are often out in the bush with no signal. If you reach Claire’s voicemail, please leave a detailed message for us to respond to at our earliest convenience.

Can I cancel my lesson?

Appointments go ahead unless the weather is unreasonably hostile such as very heavy rain or very strong winds. If you are unable to come to your scheduled lesson, we ask that you phone and cancel your spot at your earliest convenience.

Cancellations or missed appointments without at least 48 hours will result in a charge of part or all of the service amount. In the case of illness, we require notice no later than 8am on the day of riding.

What should I bring?

All riders must wear an approved helmet and riding boots. Work boots or sneakers with thick tread can be unsafe, as they can become stuck in the stirrup irons.

Please bring anything that you are likely to need, such as a drink bottle, sunscreen and a snack. In cold weather, we suggest that riders bring gloves (not mitts), a scarf, thick socks, several warm layers such as thermal top and bottom, jeans or jodhpurs, a warm jumper and a windproof/waterproof jacket. In hot weather, riders should have a long-sleeved, collared shirt to avoid sunburn.
