She has been riding weekly at a riding school for 5 years, however her progress has come to a plateau, as the riding lessons at the schools we have tried tend not to be particularly comprehensive. Rachel is serious about her goals, and has the determination to develop her skills to a high level of competition. We just need the guidance to facilitate her progress.

To give you an idea of Rachel's current level, she can canter over knee-height jumps without becoming unbalanced. She managed to teach a friend's shetland pony how to bow on command when we visited for a week. She is competent when she has had the opportunity to practice something, but hesitant to try something before understanding an appropriate method. I think this is a good thing. For example, she hasn't had the opportunity to bridle horses, but wants to learn this under professional guidance, as she has seen the consequences of horses becoming defensive and stubborn about being bridled.

My husband and I want to nurture Rachel's passion for horses, and aim to buy a horse for her, ideally with your assistance. I'd like to chat about the horses that you have available for purchase. It would be fantastic if we could find the right horse for Rachel, and enter into intensive instruction with your team, at least for a few months so that Rachel gets a solid foundation with her first horse. We are also open to engaging you to aid us in a broader search for the right horse, if you don't have the right horse for Rachel within our budget. We have never owned a horse before, and our only experience with horses has been watching Rachel's journey. Neither of us have even sat on a horse in our lives, let alone tacked up or looked after one. As such, we will need lots of guidance in a holistic sense. I see that you offer horse husbandry and care sessions, and clinics.
